Call for Applications 29 PhD student positions at the Medical University of Graz, Austria: Application Deadline: March 21, 2010. The Medical University of Graz invites applicants for 29 PhD student positions in Molecular Medicine and Neurosciences with effect from 01.10.2010. The programs provide cutting-edge education in basic principles of human diseases and therapeutics. The thesis projects will focus on various aspects of metabolic and vascular diseases, inflammation, cancer, stem cells, aging of the brain, and neurodegeneration. They will also integrate basic, applied and clinical sciences, as well as a wide spectrum of experimental techniques. The programs offer multidisciplinary training in Molecular Medicine and Neurosciences in a productive and international environment. Successful applicants will integrate into research groups, carry out individual research projects and participate in lectures, courses, journal clubs, thesis seminars, congresses etc. Accepted PhD-students will be employed for 3 years with a contract that includes social benefits. The positions are for students with a relevant Master's degree or equivalent in Medicine, Chemistry or Life Sciences. English is the language used for teaching, communication and writing of the Thesis and thus, excellent English skills are required. PhD-Program in International Health opportunities: The Center for International Health (CIH^LMU ) at Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich will open applications for the PhD-Program in International Health starting in autumn 2010. Interested candidates from around the world will be able to apply; preference would be given to students coming from existing partnerships. The three-year program will be specific for health professionals who will be able to choose from a wide range of disciplines and supervisors available in the fields of basic sciences, clinical research, epidemiology and public health, health economics, health system research, and health governance.
Applications will be directed exclusively through our Online-Application-Tool, application period for the first term starting in October 2010 will be from 3 February to 9 May 2010. Online-Applications have to be initiated through an Online-Registration (link ). Applications can be submitted as part of the Online-Registration- and Application-Form.

Master Online @dvanced Oncology: In October 2010 with the beginning of the winter semester, Ulm University will launch its worldwide postgraduate part-time study program: Master Online @dvanced Oncology. The study program is tailored to oncologists as well as employees of the pharmaceutical industry working in the field of oncology. It is characterized by an intensive supervision and support-concept, a modulated time schedule and an e-learning-concept enriched by 5-days attendance seminar per semester. This supports self-paced time and learning management through a timely and locally flexible learning and allows staying in employment. Of interest is also the combination of Interdisciplinary Oncology, Clinical Trials, Advanced Therapies/Integrated Concepts and Management which qualifies for managerial functions. International Summer Course in Paediatrics and Gynaecology/Obstetrics, Aarhus University, Faculty of Health Sciences: The course takes place at the Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby, in the period from June 28th to August 20th, 2010 and will be conducted in English. The course consists of an 8 week combined clinical and theoretical practice and gives the student a total of 10 ECTS points.Applicants for the Summer Course should use the on-line application form (see the following link for help to getting started with the system: http://www.au.dk/da/is/da-redir/selfserviceinstr ). The application deadline for this course is March 1st 2010 – so please do not take notice of the other deadlines on the webpage of the International Centre at the University.EU/EEA residents and students from universities having a formal exchange agreement (Socrates/Erasmus, Nordplus and special agreement) with the Aarhus University can attend the course free of charge. Travel and accommodation costs, however, must be financed by the student. The International Centre at Aarhus University will help finding accommodation.
